About the Volunteer Role

We are seeking a volunteer who is a rescue dog lover just like us, to help our nonprofit make the most of our social media handle! Specifically: Instagram/Facebook. If you have extensive experience in this field and enjoy building community support - this is for you!!


Responsibilities


  • Post content and engage weekly using the Paws of L.A. Rescue account by responding to DMs/comments/shares that remain consistent with our personality and voice.


Required:

  • Experience with Canva or similar graphic design tool

  • Experience with Photoshop

Bonus points if you:

  • Have content creation abilities

  • Have a knack for creative copy writing

  • Are a Los Angeles local and familiar with the community (Not required!)



Your Resources:


  • Access to CanvaPro and our Brand Guidelines outlining brand voice/personality/purpose/look and feel.

  • Our Executive Director and team to help get you started with brainstorming content strategy topics, our content calendar and any analytic reports you'd like to review.

  • A growing team of social media volunteers (you won't have to manage) who use their own social platforms to help lead discussions and engagement.

Requirements

  • 1-3 hours a week for the rest of 2023, although we do not have a time requirement since you lead the content, we'd like you to remain active in our social media outlets minimum 1 time weekly and if you prefer to be part of our group text collaboration.

We are a 501(c)3 foster-based dog rescue saving neglected and abandoned dogs, mending their broken hearts and finding their forever homes.

As a 100% volunteer nonprofit, we rely on the compassion of other rescue dog lovers in the community to help us make a greater impact.
